	The war against the Vilani

"Traveller" has a long, detailed background stretching over thousands of years, up to approx 5630 AD...The campaign this material covers is based in the "past", around 2150 AD, when the fledgling Terran Confederation is at war with the vast, but decadent Vilani Empire. The Third Imperium will eventually refer to this period as the Nth Intersteller War.

The characters are members of the armed forces of the Terran Confederation, and have grown up knowing nothing but war with a vast enemy. Military discipline combined with the isolation of long weeks in starships makes for a potentially dangerous mixture.
