l987
- Joined Channel 7 in September. The next month Christopher Skase took over the network and re launched the news with Jennifer at the helm. Prior to Jen's arrival, the news at HSV 7 had too few viewers to even rate a 1 on the ratings, due in part to local Melbourne resistance to networked news delivered from Sydney.
- Won the Deafness Awareness Week Award for Best and Clearest Television Newsreader. A highly deserved award. Jen is still the best newreader to lipread I've ever seen.
1988
- Began reading the main Seven Network news bulletin with Glen Taylor
- Co-hosted the Australian Television Penguin Awards with Andrew Denton
1990
- Jennifer joined the Tonight Live team as news reader of the late night national television program for the next three years
- In April Jennifer became the first woman to read the evening news bulletin without a male co-presenter - a role she would continue until the end of 1995.
1991
- Presented a World Vision documentary on El Salvador and the Dominican Republic.
1992
- Presented awards at the TV WEEK Logie Awards
- Co-hosted the People's Choice Awards
- Co-hosted the Australian Fashion Awards
1993
- Hosted "Tonight Live" for a week
- Presented a World Vision Documentary on Africa
- Co-presented the Australian Fashion Awards
- Won toastmaster International communications Award for Outstanding contribution in the areas of journalism and communication
1994
- Presented Seven Nightly News live from the scene of Victoria's devastating floods in Echuca and Wangaratta
- Presented Seven Nightly News live from the opening of Rialto Tower Observation Deck
- Presented Seven Nightly News live from the Australia celebrations at Southbank
- Hosted the Victorian Training Awards
- Hosted Tonight Live for a week
- Presented a documentary on the homeless, mentally ill " Our Forgotten People"
- Won The Deafness Awareness Week award for the Best Television Newsreader. ( Again! Well done, Jennifer!)
- Master of Ceremonies at the Committee For Melbourne Annual Dinner
